Who are you and why is Umbraco and CodeGarden relevant to you?

My name is Damiaan Peeters. I work together with Elgertsje Gastmans. Together, we make websites for small en medium businesses. Or we work as a freelance umbraco develpers for bigger companies. We make our livingcreating and maintaining Umbraco websites.
In the past we had developed our own cms. Developing the CMS and websites was just too much work.  After searching the internet for a while we settled on Umbraco. That was a few months before version 4.5 was released. After creating our second website with umbraco I noticed all the stuff which was planned for our own CMS.  We should have switched earlier.

Why did you already purchase your cg 15 ticket?

A few reasons.

• Last year at codegarden we had a lot of fun. And we decided we had to come back.
• Because we are are proud to be able to tell our customers that we already have tickets for the next codegarden.
• It's cheaper if you buy earlier.
• We stay the weekend after codegarden, which makes it a nice (long) city trip.

What's your best memory from previous CodeGardens?

While going home after my first Codegarden I realized I liked Umbraco even more, not (only) because of the technology but for the community supporting it.

Anything else that you wish to add/share?

Codegarden is not all about sessions. It's all about being awesome and meeting other awesome people.  It's about discovering the real magic.
