Mobile devices make out a bigger and bigger part of traffic on the web. If you are developing a website today there is no getting around it: your site has to be mobile friendly. CSS frameworks and grid systems has become popular tools that makes it easier and faster to develop content that can be used across multiple platforms and screen sizes.
Grid Layouts for Umbraco is built to enable editors to make responsive content that takes full advantage of your favourite grid system. Introduced with Umbraco 7.2 this new datatype is highly customisable allowing full control of how content is rendered both in the front end and the back office.
With great power comes great responsibility - To ensure that editors can live up to this responsibility we, as designers and developers, are challenged with creating tools that encourages this. The goal of this workshop is to show you how to structure Grid Layouts for a unique context based editor experience resulting in responsive, flexible content.

Taught by Rune Strand from Umbraco HQ. Rune was heavily involved in the final phase of development and testing of Grid Layouts and has become a bit of an evangelist for this exciting new way to create content in a CMS.
With a strong hands-on approach, attendees will complete exercises for each subject complemented by a detailed instructor-led introduction. Learning by doing is the strongest way to learn.
